Each provider's catalog is kept separate. Your changes are stored next to the provider's data, never over it, and a provider re-sync never undoes them. Hiding removes a title from the app without deleting it; Show brings it back.
Edit names, years, genres, descriptions and artwork. Video links are never changed here, and a poster never makes a title playable. "Hide" takes a title out of the app (reversible).
One title per line, optionally with the year: Madea's Family Reunion (2006). Nothing is saved until you press "Save the checked titles".
